introduction about daffodil colours identifying the divisions list of divisions

The next most frequent colour is orange (O). The deepest orange colours are often recorded as red (R) but this is highly subjective and often confusing. It is common to find flowers with orange trumpets, but rare to find orange petals.

One of the rarer colours is pink (P). Again, it is much more frequent to find pink as a trumpet colour than as a petal colour.

True reds are typically only found in narrow bands on the cups of poeticus and its cultivars. There is a green daffodil, Narcissus viridifloris, but it is rare. Green is most often seen as the colour at the base of the throat. For instance, 'Fairmile' is W-GYO.
